Following Lazio’s crushing 4-0 victory over Sampdoria, Portuguese winger Nani spoke confidently to Roman newspaper Il Messaggero about the Aquile’s chances of qualifying for the Champions League.

“We are in a good moment. From this point forward, we must continue to win all of our games. We played very well today and it is important to continue like this.”

The former Manchester United and Valencia man then spoke about Lazio’s rivals for the final two CL spots.

“We feel stronger than Inter both on the field and as a team in general, but we must respect both them and Roma. We have set ourselves the goal of qualifying for the Champions League and this goal will be reached.”

The Euro 2016 winner is currently on loan from Valencia and has made 23 appearances for Simone Inzaghi’s side, scoring three goals and providing four assist. Lazio have the option to make the deal permanent at the end of the current season.
