Valencia have paid tribute to loanee Geoffrey Kondogbia and have stated that this is his best season as a professional footballer to date in an article looking at his spell with the Spanish side.

The Frenchman joined on loan from Inter in the summer as part of a swap deal that saw Joao Cancelo go the other way.

“Geoffrey Kondogbia is enjoying his best season as a professional football player at Valencia CF under Marcelino’s orders. Kondogbia has been a pivotal figure since he arrived at the club at the start of the season,” the Taronges posted to their official club website.

They proceeded to showcase some of the stats behind Kondogbia’s season so far.

“Kondogbia has outclassed himself in comparison to his previous spells at Inter Milan, AS Monaco, Sevilla FC, and Lens in terms of goals (4), assists (4) and minutes on the field of play (2,845) across 28 LaLiga games and 5 in the Copa del Rey.

“There are four LaLiga fixtures left to play before the end of the season and Kondogbia will be looking to help secure Champions League qualification as well as continuing to beat personal records to end his season on a high.”
