Former Inter defender Massimo Paganin has stressed the importance of the Derby D’Italia for those involved in an interview on Radio Crc show ‘Si Gonfia La Rete.’
“For those who play in it, this is one of those beautiful games. Inter are playing to get in the Champions League while Juventus are playing for the Scudetto. This is a decisive match.”
Paganin then spoke on the impact Napoli’s 1-0 victory over Juventus will have on their respective race for the title.
“The victory over Juventus has given an added boost to Napoli and in these moments the fatigue is forgotten and indeed there is a further stimulus to do well.”
Heading in to this weekend, Inter are a point off the Champions League places while Juventus hold a narrow one point lead on Napoli at the top of the table. A win for both sides is absolutely crucial and could well be the difference between making the Champions League in Inter’s case or winning another scudetto in Juventus’.
