Interisti are hopeful that manager Luciano Spalletti can pull off another tactical masterclass when Inter play host to Juventus this coming Saturday.

Corriere dello Sport have recalled the past two times Spalletti has faced the Bianconeri, once with Roma and once with Inter.

“On May 14, 2017, Roma was defending second place from Napoli because they wanted to qualify for the Champions League without participating in any qualifying rounds and at the Olimpico it finished 2-1 to Roma thanks to a Spalletti tactical masterclass. This was something he replicated in December when Inter held Juventus to a 0-0 draw away from home.”

Inter’s situation is a bit different to Roma’s though as they are instead looking to get in to the Champions League places opposed to trying to keep someone else out of them. Going in to this weekend, Inter are one point off the Champions League places and a victory could propel them as high as third depending on Roma and Lazio’s respective results.
