Inter’s medical team have delivered some good news regarding Roberto Gagliardini’s injury after tests results yesterday showed that the former Atalanta player is recovering better than expected Sky Sport Italia report.

According to the report, Gagliardini, who hurt his right thigh against Cagliari, could be fit to play in the final match of the season away against Lazio at the Stadio Olimpico in what could be a play-off for the coveted fourth spot.

It is reported further, however, that he will only be called upon if the match is decisive for whether or not Inter are still with a chance of qualifying for next seasons Champions League. Gagliardini has been ruled out for two of the final three fixtures, if he is indeed ready to return for the last match against Lazio.

As it stands, Inter and four points behind Lazio, who have 70 points with three games remaining of the Serie A season.
