Lautaro Martinez’s agent Rolando Zarate has revealed that his client’s summer move to Inter is just about done in an interview with FCInterNews.it.

“It’s 99 per cent done, the deal is more than secure. I can’t say 100 per cent, but that’s only because we’re waiting for that call to go to Italy and define everything. There is a rough agreement, it is almost complete but there are some details missing. His medical could be in a week or ten days.”

Zarate proceeded to rule out the possibility of Martinez returning to Racing Club until the end of the year as requested by the Argentine club.

“Racing have qualified for the Copa Libertadores quarter-finals, and Lautaro has been one of the best players in the competition, which is why they tried to find a solution with Inter to keep the player for the coming months. It’s not possible though, the Nerazzurri said no.”

He concluded the interview by discussing the chances of Martinez taking the vacant number 10 jersey.

“The number 10 would be good for him, it would be perfect. He’s worn it for Racing with no problems, he’s a lad with a lot of personality and it wouldn’t be too much responsibility for him. It would be a nice number for him.”
