Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia spoke to the gathered media at the Stadio Olimpico during a brief press conference after the 3-2 victory that means Inter will participate in next year’s Champions League.

“It is all thanks to us, we played well against a great team. We had the goal of starting an important cycle in the most important cup. We had set ourselves the goal and now it is all thanks to us that we have achieved it. I really felt it when we scored the winner from the corner, I felt I could give something in those few minutes. I feel incredible joy after years of suffering and difficulty.”

Ranocchia also spoke on Inter bound Stefan de Vrij, who gave away a penalty which allowed Inter captain Mauro Icardi to make the game 2-2 on the 78th minute.

“He did his best for Lazio, as he is a professional. Next season he will do the same for Inter.”
