A surprising goalscorer and game decider, Matias Vecino stopped to talk to Inter TV after the dramatic turn-around in the Champions League qualification decider with Lazio when Inter stole the final spot from Lazio:
“I made a good move before the goal but Andrea Ranocchia tried to steal the goal from me because he went by me. But I still managed to get to the ball first (laughs). Lazio has a great team, but at the end we managed to beat them and get fourth place. Now I have the World Cup and the Champions League to look forward to, some beautiful months are ahead of me. Unfortunately during this last period, I had some trouble with a groin injury that almost destroyed me. I needed to come back for this final in order to help the team and now I am ready to participate in the World Cup and to do well in it.”
