Bologna attacker Simone Verdi has attracted a lot of interest in recent months with interest in particular coming from Inter and Napoli but his agent has postponed any further talk on his club future while he is with the Italian national team.

“We will talk about it [his future] after he returns from the national team,” the player’s agent Donato Orgnoni told RMC Sport.

Verdi hit double figures in both goals and assists last term for the Sardinian club (both 10) and his agent believes he can still do better in the future.

“It was an important year for Simone, who has great room for improvement.”

The 25-year-old, who is primarily a right winger but can play in any position across the front three, is viewed as a possible replacement for Antonio Candreva by the Nerazzurri management. Reports have suggested it could take upwards of €25 million to secure his signature but with the crazy transfer fees in the modern game, the figure does not seem all that much for someone who has proved he can contribute in various ways and do so on a regular basis.
