Which player has the highest release clause in Italy? Gianlucadimarzio.com answers this question with a list of the figures which must be paid to secure some of the Serie A’s star players.

It is no surprise that Inter captain Mauro Icardi is at the top of the list. The Argentine’s €110 million release clause sets the record, followed by Torino captain Andrea Belotti who can be secured for €100 million. In third is Napoli’s Piotr Zielinski who has a clause worth €63 million. For all three players, the clause is only valid for foreign clubs.

The only other Inter player in the top 10 was Marcelo Brozovic who can be purchased for €50 million. Napoli had five players (Zielinski, Rog, Maksimovic, Hysaj, Ghoulam) within the top ten, while Roma (Strootman) and Milan (Suso) had one each.

Interestingly, Juventus had no players on the list, suggesting that they prefer to negotiate contracts without any release clause.
