According to a report from Sky Sport, Inter have begun discussions with the agent of Antonio Candreva with regards to an extension of his current contract.

The club hope to extend the current deal by one year without a change in salary. This would tie the Italian international to the club until 2021.

It was a disappointing season on a personal level for the winger, who managed to go an entire season without scoring a single goal for the Nerazzurri. He was able to lay on eight assists, although all of these came in the first half of the season. Indeed, the player failed to register a single goal involvement for 2018.

This was a significant drop from a player who scored eight goals and delivered 11 assists in his debut season for Inter. He joined the club from Lazio in August 2016 as one of the first signings since Suning took over ownership.
