Inter manager Luciano Spalletti has given the green light to the possibility of a swap deal between Inter and Juventus involving Mauro Icardi and Gonzalo Higuain but he is not pushing for it to happen Tuttosport detail.

Spalletti has reluctantly accepted the idea due to knowing fine well that Icardi could be snatched away due to his €110 million foreign club release clause.

The swap deal with the Bianconeri would not only give the Nerazzurri a substantial sum of money but would also give Inter another proven Serie A striker and save them from being ripped off by others in the transfer market. If Inter were to lose Icardi due to his release clause all clubs would be well aware of Inter’s huge cash pot and would be likely to overcharge them for any player that Inter would like. In the event of Icardi departing via his release clause, Edin Dzeko would be Spalletti’s preferred replacement for the 25-year-old Argentine.
