Disturbing news from Spain that arrived last night suggests that Joao Cancelo could be on his way to become a Juventus player.

Cancelo, as was the case with Rafinha, could have been an Inter player on a permanent basis, but UEFA’s Financial Fair Play rules impeded Inter from signing Cancelo before the buy-out clause in the loan deal expired.

It is Spanish sports web site Superdeporte that brings us the rumour, a rumour that made its way to Corriere dello Sport’s web edition. According to Superdeporte, the two clubs (Valencia and Juventus) have reached an agreement for the player for a fee in the region of €38-39 million. A figure very close to the €40 million the Valencia leadership has insisted on during the last couple of weeks.

The full-back has already reached an agreement with Juventus, something that could explain why he did not immediately respond to the offer made by English side Wolverhampton, recently promoted to the English Premier League.
