Inter’s Brazilian left-back Dalbert has been something of an enigma in his first year in Italy. Making just 13 appearances during this last season, Inter fans have never really had a chance to see him in action.

It would seem now that he is to leave the Milan-based club this summer with his most likely destination being Ligue 1 in France, where he enjoyed success with Nice before joining Inter.

RMC Sport have reported that Monaco are the current front-runners for the Brazilian and are indeed currently in negotiations to sign the full-back. It is thought that the offer on the table from Monaco is that of a loan deal with a fee of €3 million.

However talks appear to have stalled since an obligation to buy clause was added by Inter. The French club believe that Inter are looking at a fee of €24 million as the buy-back price – a fee that they are not so happy with and wish to discuss further.

Dalbert is thought to be keen on a return to France, but it is also true that he has a lot of interest from back home in Brazil.
