Nicolas Gonzalez is closing in on a summer transfer to Inter with his Italian passport expected to be in his hands soon as per a report from Corriere dello Sport.

Inter and the striker’s club Argentinos Juniors are getting closer and closer and the Roman based newspaper suggest Inter could count upon Sassuolo or Bologna to help a deal for the 20-year-old go through.

It would be more helpful to Inter if they made the agreement with Sassuolo due to them being currently interested in Neroverdi duo Matteo Politano and Alfred Duncan.

Should Gonzalez – who has scored 7 times in 22 appearances this season – join, he will be the fourth Argentine attacker at Inter, along with club captain Mauro Icardi, Lautaro Martinez and Facundo Colidio, who could well be promoted to the first team next season after he impressed Luciano Spalletti with his performances for the Nerazzurri’s Primavera side in the past season.
