Inter are set for new talks with Genoa in their pursuit of 16 year-old forward Eddy Salcedo, according to reports in Liguria.

Salcedo made two appearances for the Grifone’s first-team during the 2017-18 season and came close to joining the Nerazzurri last summer, when they reached an agreement in principle to sign him and teenage prodigy Pietro Pellegri before backing out of the deal.

Genoa-based newspaper Il Secolo XIX reports that Inter are to meet again with Genoa this week to continue their negotiations for the player, in a deal that is expected to see goalkeeper Ionut Radu and midfielder Xian Emmers move in the opposite direction.

Inter would prefer to include striker Andrea Pinamonti in the deal instead of Emmers, but at the moment it is the Belgian who seems more likely to be sold.

Genoa’s sporting director Giorgio Perinetti had already confirmed to FcInterNews earlier in the week that the clubs would soon meet again, adding “we’ll see what happens.”
