Inter have identified Mousa Dembele as their top target for the defensive midfield role and former Inter player Rafinha could help the Nerazzurri to land the Belgian as per a report from Turin newspaper Tuttosport.

Rafinha is reportedly in the cross-hairs of Tottenham and if a deal is done, it could well assist Inter in their pursuit f Dembele. Rafinha and Dembele do not play in the same position but his arrival at Spurs could possibly facilitate the Belgian’s departure.

The Belgian would bring a much needed physicality to Inter’s double pivot, already half-filled with Marcelo Brozovic. He would also be a great player for Roberto Gagliardini to learn from, as Moussa is nearing the end of his peak, with only a few strong seasons still in his tank. An unknown in this strengthening of the squad is Matias Vecino, who Maurizio Sarri wants but until Sarri finds a new job, their won’t be any developments on that front.
