Federico Chiesa’s father and agent Enrico Chiesa is wanting Fiorentina to reward his son with a new contract as per a report from Milanese newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Chiesa Sr. would like to see his son given an extended deal and an annual salary of €2.5 million – an increase from his current €2 million a year deal – citing the fact his son could get a longer deal with a far bigger pay packet elsewhere.

Fiorentina however do not seem so convinced by the idea with the young winger, who has been courted by many top clubs including Inter and Premier League side Manchester United, only just signing a new deal back in November last year that ties him to the club until the end of the 2021/22 season.

Chiesa appeared 38 times across all competitions under former Inter manager Stefano Pioli last term for La Viola and contributed six goals and nine assists in that time.
