Inter and Roma are working to complete a deal that will see Radja Nainggolan join the Nerazzurri in advance of the summer transfer window opening on July 1, Corriere dello Sport report.

Roma would like to include the sale of Nainggolan on their 2017/18 balance sheet to help balance the books. This will be by no means easy and relies on Inter selling enough young players to raise the funds for Nainggolan’s transfer fee but the two clubs remain at work with one another to get a deal over the line.

Inter hope to offer Roma €25 million plus a player from their Primavera side in return for the Belgian midfielder, who will re-unite with former manager Luciano Spalletti if the move is to come to fruition. Monchi, Roma’s sporting director, will be given a list by Inter of the Primavera players he can choose from and the list is expected to include Andrea Pinamonti, Nicolo Zaniolo and Federico Valietti.

Corriere dello Sport further report that Nainggolan has rejected the advances of Atletico Madrid and a Chinese club in favour of a summer switch to the San Siro.
