Argentinos Juniors President, Cristian Malaspina, was expected to travel to Italy to discuss the possible transfer of Nicolas Gonzalez to Inter but it would now seem that has been put postponed, for now.

FCInterNews.it reports that, as confirmed by the club’s Sporting Director Enrique Borrelli had previosuly confirmed that Malaspina was due to fly to Milan to meet with Inter but a series of events caused him to instead, fly directly to Russia without stopping in the northern Italian city.

It is thought that Argentinos Juniors are not interested in selling the young Argentine talent right now. It is possible that the Argentine club will only want to sell for an important large fee. It has been reported recently that Inter would be looking to sign the player and then possible send him out on loan to Sassuolo or another Serie A team rather than stay at Inter next season.

It would seem that any potential deal is on stand by for now but with the transfer seeming difficult, it is by no means impossible but it is obvious that Inter will need to identify a new strategy which pleases all parties and allows fans to see Gonzalez play in Serie A.
