Standard Liege are hoping to be able to re-sign Inter youngster Zinho Vanheusden despite the defender recently cutting his loan spell with the 10 time Belgian champions short due to a lack of playing time a report from Belgian news outlet Dhnet.be report.

Vanheusden joined Standard Liege in January on an 18 month loan but due to making just one appearance, the 18-year-old quit the club and now has his sights set on re-uniting with his former Belgian youth international coach Gert Verheyen at KV Oostende.

Despite Vanheusden having his eyes on a move elsewhere, Standard Liege manager Michael Preud’Homme has spoke with the player in a bid to convince him to come back although it is unclear as of yet if he has done enough.

The young Belgian – who suffered a serious cruciate ligament injury at the start of last season but has since fully recovered – is also of interest to several Italian, Dutch and Scottish clubs the report further states.
