Outgoing Inter Primavera coach Stefano Vecchi could take two of the club’s youngsters with him when he completes a deal to join Venezia, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Vecchi secured the Nerazzurri’s second consecutive youth league title on Saturday when his side defeated Fiorentina 2-0 in the season finale at Sassuolo’s Mapei Stadium, but is expected to leave the club this week after four years in Milan.

Serie B side Venezia are reportedly close to announcing the 47 year-old as their new head coach after parting company with Filippo Inzaghi, who was unveiled as Bologna’s new boss on Wednesday, and Gazzetta dello Sport believes Vecchi could be reunited with two of Inter’s promising young players there.

Goalkeeper Michele Di Gregorio is expected to renew his contract with Inter until 2022 and then join the club on a season-long loan, having spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Renate in Serie C, and he will be joined there by 19 year-old winger Matteo Rover, who scored the second goal in the Primavera’s 2-0 victory on Saturday.

Inter are also close to securing moves away for several more of their young players, as they look to recoup the €45 million in capital gains that they need before 30 June in order to respect UEFA’s Financial Fair Play regulations.

Midfielder Xian Emmers, goalkeeper Ionut Radu and defender Federico Valietti are all close to joining Genoa – although Inter are still unsure if they wish to sell the Belgian – while Nicolò Zaniolo is closing in on a €6 million move to Sassuolo.

Inter will maintain a buyback option on every youngster that they sell this summer, in order to keep control of their former Primavera prodigies.
