Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market guru Gianluca Di Marzio reports that Inter and Roma continue to discuss the proposed transfer of the Belgian midfielder to the Nerazzurri.

According to the report, new talks are expected to be held between the two clubs regarding the former Cagliari midfielder as the parties could soon enter into negotiations but these have not begun as of yet.

As things stand, Di Marzio reports, Roma want Inter to inject more cash instead of players being used as part payment whilst Inter prefer to pay for the transfer using less casch as the two clubs continue to talk to see if they can agree terms for the transfer of Nainggolan.

Luciano Spalletti has expressly asked the Inter leadership to sign the former Cagliari midfielder whom he coached during his last stint at the Giallorossi. Nainggolan has spent the last 5 seasons at Roma featuring 201 times scoring 33 goals across all competitions.
