Inter have made an enquiry for Italy international Davide Zappacosta as they continue their search for a new right-back, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Following the almost certain departure of Joao Cancelo, who has returned to Valencia after spending the 2017-18 season on loan with the Nerazzurri, sporting director Piero Ausilio is looking to secure a replacement for the Portuguese defender and has identified the 26 year-old, now at Chelsea, as a potential solution.

According to the Rome-based newspaper, however, the Premier League outfit would be looking for at least €20 million to part company with Zappacosta, having signed him for a fee of €25 million only last summer.

Zappacosta made 38 appearances in all competitions for the Blues last season after joining them on the final day of the summer transfer window, scoring two goals and providing two assists for Antonio Conte’s side as they went on to win the FA Cup.

Inter are also looking at Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian and Sampdoria’s Bartosz Berezsynski, but neither are thought to be probable options at the moment.
