Inter continue to pursue a right full back that can give some competition to D’Ambrosio and try to continue the legacy of Joao Cancelo. A slow but continuous process that now has some positive feedback as Barcelona full-back Alex Vidal has accepted Inter as his new destination as reported by Gazzetta dello Sport.
According to the report: “It is a classic fight with three parties: Inter, Barcelona and the player himself. Where no one seems to eager to close the deal. Inter have their thoughts elsewhere, by the end of June the club has to find €45 million in order to balance the books and to respect the settlement agreement agreed to with UEFA to respect their FFP rules. Only after this date, can Inter focus on reinforcements. That is why Inter has communicated their interest to the player’s agent but at the same time said that nothing will happen until the beginning of July.”
At the moment the only obstacle is what formula the transfer will have as Inter is pushing for a loan deal with a sight to redeem him set at €8-9 million. Barcelona does not want to repeat what happened with Rafinha and the player himself wants a permanent transfer.
