Manchester United coach José Mourinho is looking for a central defender and is currently looking at Inter and Slovakian defender Milan Skriniar, following in the footsteps of Manchester City and Barcelona.

Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the latest offer for Skriniar was €65 million euros, an offer that has been declined by Inter. Skriniar will not move, instead the Nerazzurri have made an offer to renew his contract which would see him earn €2.2 million and that would tie him to the club until the end of June 2023.

According to the report “Skriniar’s future should not even be affected by the current FFP restrictions since he is considered a new acquisition that has a €28 million euro value as his purchase price and selling him would not free up space on the list to be presented in September when Inter returns to the Champions League. However, between the players arriving and leaving one of Milan, Vecino, Gagliardini and Martinez could be left out of the list of players Inter include in their squad to take part in the Champions League.”
