Inter changing their attention on the transfer market from Barcelona midfielder Rafinha to Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan represents a philosophical turning point for the project at hand for the Nerazzurri according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

While Rafinha showed flashes during his six month loan spell and could no doubt have become an important part of the project, Nainggolan will instead be the face of the project the Milan based newspaper believe.

Due to ongoing financial fair play problems, Inter were unable to take up their €35 million purchase option on the Brazilian midfielder at the end of the season but it could now prove to be a blessing in disguise with the Nerazzurri now set to land Nainggolan instead for a fee of €20-22 million plus a young player and it is expected that Inter Primavera midfielder Nicolo Zaniolo will be the player inserted in the deal with the Giallorossi.
