According to a report by Sky Sport Italia, the contract renewal talks between Alessandro Florenzi and Roma continues to keep the Giallorossi very anxious. This weekend the Roma leadership will meet with Alessandro Lucci, the Italian international’s agent, to discuss the extension of the player’s contract.

He is considered by Monchi to be a great player but not a top player to retain for high figures. The one and a half million plus bonuses net per season  is considered a fair offer for the value of the player.

During the weekend, there will be a new meeting between both parties, perhaps decisive, with two roads on the horizon: the signing of a new contract or a transfer in the summer to avoid leaving for free in a years time when his contract expires, especially with Inter and Juventus signaling interest.

The 27 year old full back has had 42 appearances this season with 10 of those coming in the UEFA Champions League. He scored 1 goal and made 4 assists but definitely was deemed useful all season by Roma coach Eusebio Di Francesco.
