During an exclusive interview with FcInterNews.it, Genoa general manager Giorgio Perinetti confirmed that negotiations with Inter are ongoing with regard to the transfer of 19-year-old striker Andrea Pinamonti.

Indeed, despite being somewhat cautious with his statements, talks between the parties are already at an advanced stage. There is in fact an agreement between Pinamonti and the Rossoblu on the terms of a five-year contract worth €1 million per season.

The only issue still up for debate is the value of the Nerazzurri’s buyback clause. Sporting director Piero Ausilio does not intend to go above €18 million. On the contrary, Enrico Preziosi would prefer for a buyback clause not to be included at all, or for it to be worth at least €25 million.

The parties will reconvene next week with the aim of reaching a final agreement over a series of deals geared towards helping La Beneamata fulfil their Financial Fair Play obligations with UEFA.
