Andrei Radu has admitted he is “very happy” with a move to Genoa on the verge of completion.

The Romanian goalkeeper is one of many young casualties of Inter’s bid to comply with financial fair play and is joining the Grifone alongside Federico Valietti in a deal worth a rumoured €15 million. Genoa youngsters Eddy Salcedo and Laurens Serpe are also expected to head to Milano as part of the deal.

“I am very happy. I have not talked to my new coach Ballardini yet,” the 21-year-old revealed to transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio’s website, GianlucaDiMarzio.com.

Radu, who joined the Nerazzurri from lower league Italian side Pergolettese in 2013, was under contract with Inter until 2020 prior to this move and he has seemingly refused to rule out on day returning if he was afforded the opportunity.

“Can I come back to Inter one day? I will always have Inter in my heart.”
