Mauro Icardi contract talks with Inter could speed up as the expiration date of the Argentinian striker’s buy-out clause, set at €110 million and which is only open to clubs outside of Italy, is July 15th.

Also, with the World Cup seemingly having cooled down the interest from all clubs, even from Real Madrid, Rome-based Corriere dello Sport reports that right now “the Inter directors want to see if there are any serious intentions by clubs across Europe.”

According to the report, Juventus have expressed an interest in Icardi during these past few weeks, also Juventus has started to show their interest in the Inter attacker and if so “allow to readjust themselves with a counter offer. His agent and wife Wanda Nara has underlined that the offer of €5.5 million net per season until the end of June 2021 will no longer suffice, as she is aiming high, €8 million net per year. The parties could end up meeting each other halfway but at the moment Inter must make sure that they make it past July 15th without Icardi being tempted away.”
