According to FCInterNews.it, Inter are keen to renew with Matias Vecino and an agreement has been found between the two parties.

The new deal will keep the player at Inter until 2022, with an annual salary of €2 million net. This is an increase on the €1.7 million he earned previously. By increasing the length of his deal Inter have spread the value of the player (€24 million) across an extra year, to the benefit of their balance sheet.

The former Fiorentina man was a regular for Luciano Spalletti this season, scoring three goals and providing three assists in 31 appearances for his new club. Vecino will forever be remembered by Interisti for his match-winning header against Lazio, which saw the club return to the Champions League.

In recent weeks the Uruguayan midfielder has drawn interest from Premier League club Chelsea and the renewal could well just be a move by the Nerazzurri to bump up his potential transfer fee.
