Inter have not cooled their interest in Malcom for their attack according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.

“The Brazilian winger for Bordeaux is greatly admired by the Nerazzurri but the real negotiations have yet to take-off,” the report from the Milanese newspaper states.

Following the arrival of Matteo Politano, the acquisition of Malcom would mean that one of Antonio Candreva or Yann Karamoh would leave.

Before Inter make a full attack on the Brazilian, they must first decide who leaves and find a formula to minimise the risk. The disappointment of Dalbert in Serie A, in comparison to his tremendous form in Ligue 1 might of instilled caution into the Nerazzurri. Therefore, they need Bordeaux to accept their terms for a loan with option to buy, so if Malcom display similar struggles in a more tactical league, Inter would not lose out as much, especially when the price is around €40 million. An abnormally large loan fee could be the key to unlocking this deal, as it would give Bordeaux more confidence in the likelihood of Inter then signing him permanently
