Inter youngster Alessandro Bastoni’s proposed loan switch to SPAL is at risk of collapsing after the player picked up an injury according to a report from FCInterNews.it.
The young central defender has confirmed an injury to his meniscus and his condition is to be evaluated to work out whether the best option is just to cancel the already agreed loan or not. He has already been ruled out of the U19 European Championship’s as a result of the injury but it is as yet unclear what the long term prognosis is.
The youngster returned to the Nerazzurri a year earlier than planned from his loan at fellow Serie A side Atalanta due to the fact Inter are wanting to see the Italian youth international kick on this coming season and get more Serie A playing time, something he was not afforded an awful lot of at the Bergamo club last season.
