Inter are close to finalising a deal that will see Alfred Duncan make a return to the Nerazzurri according to reports circulating in the midfielder’s native Ghana.

Kickgh.com report that Inter have been working on the deal for quite some time and kept a close eye on him since his departure from the club back in 2014.

The 25-year-old has been with Sassuolo since 2016 and has made 88 appearances for the Neroverdi across all competitions, scoring twice and assisting eight times and still has two years left on his current contract.

Duncan is a product of the Inter youth academy but only made three first team appearances upon promotion to the senior level and the 10-time Ghanaian international is regarded by many Interisti as one who got away. Relations between Sassuolo and Inter are currently good after recent deals have saw Matteo Politano move to San Siro and Jens Odgaard move to the MAPEI Stadium.
