Inter have contracted the entourage of Marseille midfielder Dimitri Payet to understand if there is possibility of a deal being done according to France Football.

The report goes on to state that any deal is unlikely to cause any major problems for the Nerazzurri who have already conducted some initial enquiries.

Payet’s former club West Ham – who he left back in January 2017 on a sour note – are also believed to be interested in him but as things stand Inter pose the biggest threat when it comes to signing the 31-year-old, who still has three years left to run on his current contract at the Orange Velodrome stadium.

The L’OM captain starred last season, scoring 10 goals and providing a very impressive 24 assists across all competitions in a season that saw Marseille reach the Europa League final where they lost out to Atletico Madrid and miss out on a Champions League return by just a single point.
