Inter and Mauro Icardi are set to kick off contract renewal talks once his €110 million release clause – valid only for foreign clubs – expires in five days time Corriere della Sera report.

No surprises are expected to come up in talks that should be rather straightforward even if Inter could well be forced in to selling one of their key players for the sake of the Champions League registration list. Inter’s management team worked furiously throughout the month of June, particularly toward the end of it, to raise €45 million in capital gains for financial fair play purposes but it still may not be enough to keep the wolf (another club) away from the door.

Corriere della Sera go on to report that Inter are looking to make three more signings this transfer window, a new right back, central midfielder and a winger. Names for each position are plentiful and CorSera believe that Sime Vrsaljko and Mousa Dembele are the favourites to be signed for the first two positions but give no preference for the winger.
