Bordeaux have denied that Roma are interested in Brazilian forward Malcom after reports suggested the Giallorossi were looking to beat Inter to the 20 year-old’s signature.

Inter have been in talks with the Ligue 1 club since the beginning of June as they look to reinforce their attacking options ahead of participation in this season’s UEFA Champions League, but negotiations appear to have slowed since the Nerazzurri confirmed the signing of Matteo Politano and left themselves with four wide forwards in their first-team squad.

Malcom had thus been linked with a surprise move to Roma this week, with some reports claiming that Bordeaux sporting director Ulrich Rame had spoken with Monchi about a deal, but Rame issued a blunt denial of the rumours on Wednesday.

“I have no news regarding Roma’s interest in Malcom,” he told TeleRadioStereo, “and it’s not a story I’m keeping abreast of. There is nothing in those rumours.”
