Inter defender Andrea Ranocchia has reflected on the Nerazzurri’s return to pre-season training among other topics in an interview with Inter TV.

“We’re back to work and we are now trying to focus on preparing for a season with a lot of games. It’s important to have continuity with the same coach because it helps when you know the system. We’ve gained some good new players, it will be an important year for all of us.”

Ranocchia continued by discussing all the new players that have come through the doors so far.

“New arrivals have always been welcomed well here. The players who have come in this summer are all quality players who came from very big clubs. This is the time when it’s important to understand what the boss wants and let the new arrivals understand what it means to wear this shirt.”

He concluded the interview by speaking about the Champions League and fatherhood.

“To be back in the Champions League is amazing. I hope we can enjoy playing in this competition as much as possible. My first training camp as a dad? It was tough to leave Lorenzo, but I know I’ll see him soon.”
