Inter’s new Argentinian signing Lautaro Martinez has impressed the Italian media in the short stint he has been in Italy since joining from Racing Avellanada, Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports.

According to the report, the youngster has impressed so much he has already galvanized support from all quarters: “He has Lautaro written on his jersey, but that is just a visual effect. If you look closer and scratch the surface you can see the names of Mauro, Diego and Javier beneath his own name. All of Argentina are backing this kid who on the day he turns 21 will have already played his first match in the Serie A.”

The Gazzetta predicts a winning future for Inter’s new number 10. If he gives only half of what he is capable of to Inter coach Luciano Spalletti, this would mean that Sporting Director Piero Ausilio and Vice President Zanetti have made an important signing to add to their resumes.

For Spalletti the Argentinian is so much more than just an alternative to Mauro Icardi. The two of them are together capable of scoring a lot of goals, even if the cost will be playing with an alternative system that needs to adapt to the Gazzetta analyzes.
