The visit of agent Vincenzo Pisacane to Dimaro this afternoon has not gone unnoticed by Corriere dello Sport and the Rome based newspaper reports that the agent arrived at lunchtime at the Sport Hotel Rosatti which is the base of Napoli’s pre-season camp and spoke with the club’s Sporting Director Cristiano Giuntoli.
The conversations is reported to have centred around Napoli’s need to find a full-back to “support Elseid Hysaj on the right, whilst also being capable of playing on the left.” It cannot be ignored that one player that fits the identikit of the club is none other than Inter’s Danilo D’Ambrosio – a client of Pisacane, and a player that Napoli enquired about only last year.
The Neapolitan full-back was a regular under Luciano Spalletti last season, making 34 appearances for Inter, scoring two goals and delivering four assists. He will be forever remembered for his goal in the final game against Lazio which inspired the Nerazzurri to return to the Champions League.
