Atletico Madrid are holding firm to in their demand that they will only entertain offers of a permanent transfer and not loans, no matter how high the loan fee is regarding Croatian international fullback Sime Vrsaljko, Sky Sport Italia transfer market Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, which quotes sources close to the La Liga outfit, they will only accept an offer of around 30 million to part ways with the former Sassuolo full-back. Di Marzio reports further that this harsh stance by Atletico represents a clear signal to the player who has openly been flirting with making a move to the Nerazzurri for quite some time.

Di Marzio concludes that should the Los Colchoneros continue this hardline approach and not open up to Inter’s offer of a high loan offer with an option to buy, Nerazzurri Sporting Director Piero Ausilio will have to look elsewhere to fill the vacant spot left by Joao Cancelo.

One alternative is Manchester United’s Matteo Darmian, whose agents Inter are in contact with continually and Chelsea’s Davide Zappacosta being another alternative.
