Despite now facing seemingly strong competition for Malcom, Inter still remain in the lead to sign him according to a report from British newspaper the Times.

Tottenham Hotspur have reignited previous interest in the Brazilian winger as have their north London rivals Arsenal, who joined them in trying to land him back in the January transfer window.

The report goes on to state that Inter have in fact made a fresh proposal to Bordeaux in an attempt to put an end to the prolonged negotiations between the two clubs.

“The Italian club have offered £8.8 million for an initial loan and the option to purchase him on a permanent deal for a further £26.5 million next summer,” the report says.

Malcom joined Bordeaux back in 2016 from Corinthians in his homeland and has since went on to make just shy of a century of appearances for Les Girondins where he has posted 23 goals and 16 assists in 96 appearances across all competitions.
