As Inter prepare for their second pre-season friendly against FC Sion, it appears that coach Luciano Spalletti is postponing his experiment with the three-man defence. At least this is the indication from the final few training sessions at Pinetina, where the Tuscan has set his side up with a classic four-man backline.

Premium Sport report that the manager is awaiting the return of Joao Miranda from his holidays before building the new defensive wall of the Brazilian, Milan Skriniar and Stefan De Vrij.

After their 3-0 victory over Lugano earlier in the week, the Nerazzurri are optimistic heading into their encounter with the Swiss side. Spalletti will look to see his team implement his tactics as a whole, while the fans will be eager for Radja Nainggolan score his first goal in his new colours.

Perhaps the biggest source of excitement however comes from the hope of finally seeing Mauro Icardi combine with Lautaro Martinez. The young Argentine was impressive in his debut against Lugano, netting his first ever goal for the club. Icardi, on the other hand was rested for the match but had since returned to full training with the group.

This partnership will not play together from the start, however, with Spalletti confirming on Wednesday morning that Icardi will only play for 30 minutes.
