Despite having already reinforced their front-line with Lautaro Martinez and Matteo Politano, Inter remain interested in Bordeaux winger Malcom. The player had expressed a strong desire to move from the Ligue 1 club, so much so that the club chose to leave him out of their early season friendly.

The relationship between the two parties appears to be improving again, however, as FCInterNews reported on Tuesday evening that the Brazilian had been called up for the club’s upcoming friendly match against St Etienne.

This news came on the same evening that Sky Sport UK reported that Premier League club Everton were close to finalising a deal for the player with Bordeaux – however that was refuted later in the evening by FCInterNews, who believe that talks are still at an early stage, and that the player would prefer a move to Milan.

Malcom has been linked to Inter for some time, and is supposedly Luciano Spalletti’s number one choice to replace Antonio Candreva on the right side of attack. The 21 year-old joined Bordeaux from Corinthians in 2017, and has since scored 20 goals and provided 13 assists in 84 Ligue 1 appearances.
