Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted the positive and negative performers from Inter’s recent loss to Sion, starting with the good:

Kwadwo Asamoah – “The amount of minutes he has played [in the first two friendlies] suggest that he’s ahead in his fitness programme, in comparison to some of his teammates, but he also demonstrated great strength and technique on the ball. However, he didn’t contribute much going forward.”

Yann Karamoh – “Untamed but he looks happy and motivated. He was the only one, apart from Radja Nainggolan, to provide entertainment and threaten the opposition.”

Gazzetta then turned their attention to some of the players who could use a bit more attention back in Appiano:

Roberto Gagliardini – “After Nainggolan had to come off, he lost his natural passage of play and looked lost. Furthermore, his pace and strength clearly wasn’t up to the usual standard.”

MIlan Skriniar – “He made mistakes, causing Spalletti to despair on the sideline. Both resulted in goals. The first was during the corner, in which he failed to jump and clear the ball, and the second was when he was slow to close down his opponent just before the second goal. Two mistakes that he definitely wouldn’t have made last season.”
