Inter face Russian Premier League side Zenit St. Petersburg in Pisa this weekend in their latest pre-season friendly.

Zenit defender Meha Mevlja spoke to Russian website Sportbox.ru/MatchTV about the game saying: “we consider the game against Inter first and foremost as a very important test, which will help us to demonstrate where we are in our preparation for the new season. Obviously Inter are a big side and a big rival so our motivations will increase for a game like this. To play a team like this is always extremely interesting. In any case we must stick to our plan for the season which is provided to us by the coach.”

Inter’s pre season continues at Appiano Gentile this summer in preparation for the new season that sees the Nerazzurri battle it out in both Serie A and the UEFA Champions League. They continue their preparations with more glamour friendlies against Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and Lyon.
