The Vice-president of La Liga outfit Real Betis, Llorenç Serra Ferrer, has confirmed the club’s interest in Inter’s Portuguese international midfielder Joao Mario.

Ferrer was asked about Joao Mario as well as Brazilian Lucas Moura who has also been linked with the club, during the presentation of new defender Sidnei da Silva to which he replied very clearly: “They are both two great players and if there is a possibility we would very much like to sign them.”

However Ferrer continued by underlining that a deal is far from done in either case saying: “But we must remain realistic and know what we can do. We are looking to distribute our financial potential in a good way in order to strengthen the squad. We have signed six players, replacing players who did really well last season and we thing we have improved.

“It will be difficult to repeat what we did last year. We are satisfied, we always want to improve but we will not disturb our plan for the club’s future growth in order to sign one or two players” Ferrer concluded.
