Hector Herrera’s agent, Gabriel Moraes commented on the rumors that his client is a Real Madrid target, denying that there is any truth to these rumors.
“These are rumors that are totally baseless. Real Madrid have a very strong midfield and it is not a position that they are evaluating, there was no meeting with Lopetegui. We have time until January to work on a renewal. My job is to talk to Porto and try to resolve the situation, and that is what I’m doing.
“We’ve had several contacts with other clubs during the Summer, but nobody has managed to strike a deal with Porto or Herrera, and today he is focused entirely on Porto as he is the captain and has many important games ahead of him. He takes his job very seriously and has no desire to leave the team halfway through the season. He will stay at Porto until at least June 30 2019” Moraes concluded.
