Antonio Candreva seemed all set to move on during the summer transfer window and his early exclusion from the team seemed to suggest he had no future with the club.

The Italian has however managed to recover since being given his chance. He came on as a substitute in the 3-0 win over Bologna and it took him just 180 seconds to make an impact as he scored, breaking a season long goal drought in the in the process.

Since Bologna, he has started in each of Inter’s next two league games with Parma and Sampdoria and can be considered unlucky in the sense he has not got some assists next to his name having provided good chances to Matias Vecino and Mauro Icardi.

Moreover, he could have had another goal or two had his curling effort that hit the post against Sampdoria been an inch or two further in the goal.
